RabbitSubtitle · FAQ

Answers before you start

Setup, API keys, exports, privacy, billing, and device activation.
Does RabbitSubtitle upload my video?+

Offline narration processes your text on your computer. When you choose online transcription, the required audio is sent to OpenAI; online translation sends the relevant text. Choosing HeyGen sends the selected video to that service. RabbitSubtitle’s website does not receive those source files.

Are OpenAI charges included?+

Offline narration has no per-generation service charge. Online translation and optional external dubbing services are charged separately. OpenAI setup is only needed for features that use its online service. Offline narration does not need an OpenAI key.

What does the free trial include?+

Three successful exports on one device. Each source can be up to 10 minutes, MP4 exports include a watermark, and batch processing is unavailable.

Can I move my license?+

Yes. Deactivate the old device first, then activate the new one. Creator and Creator Lifetime include 1 active device; Studio and Enterprise Lifetime include 3 active devices.

What happens when a subscription ends?+

Paid features stop after the monthly or annual subscription and its grace period end. Files already exported remain yours.

What does Lifetime mean?+

Perpetual use of the major version purchased, plus 12 months of feature updates. It does not include every future major version forever.

Give your subtitles a voice.+

Paste your script, choose a voice and listen. Once the voice pack is installed, you can create narration without an internet connection. Narration supports Chinese and English. It reads the words you provide; it does not translate them, copy a person's voice or change lip movements.
